How many people can stay?

Lighthouse Homestead has three bedrooms with double beds and one single bed in the children’s area, sleeping six adults and one child comfortably.

Where do we have the ceremony?

There are a few different options for the ceremony, out on the front lawn over looking the Lighthouse Valley Hinterland hills, on the steps of the Homestead, in the back gardens or under the nearby Coolamon tree.

What is the parking situation?

Parking on the property is only for suppliers, and those staying in the Homestead. All event/wedding guests must be bussed in to the property, this eliminates all alcohol and driving issues and keeps our neighbours happy.

Should we have a child free wedding?

If you are concerned about children we can recommend a local babysitter to come and look after children in a specific area to allow for parents to relax and enjoy the evening worry free.

Do you provide catering and hire?

Lighthouse Homestead does not provide catering and hire, only venue and accommodation. We do however have many recommendations of excellent local suppliers.

Do we need a wedding coordinator?

Yes, we ask all couples to engage a wedding planner/coordinator at least one month before the event and for full on the day coordination.

Where are the best spots for photos?

There are many different photo opportunities all over the property. Photos with the friendly farm animals, in the orchard, down by the Coolamon tree, or tucked away in a gorgeous bamboo forrest. If you let us know ahead of time we will be happy to drive you around the farm to all the best photo spots.

Do I need to hire toilets?

Yes, if you are hosting an event at the property with over 20 guests you will need to hire toilets for guest use. Don’t worry there are a few great hire companies in Byron that have luxury portable toilets so you won’t even notice.

Do you have a curfew?

Yes we do, like many other venues in the area we have a curfew. All music must be off by 10.30pm as we are located in a rural area and noise travels, and guests must leave the property by 11pm.

What’s the weather like in Byron Bay?

The famous holiday destination of Byron Bay enjoys a subtropical climate, meaning hot, wet summers and dry, mild winters. Anytime of year is a great time for a Byron Bay Wedding however the chances of rain are higher in summer. The quiet season it between June and September and lovely time to be here with lower chances of rain.
